Killer Queen in 2020 ....
Stay Safe - Stay Home.
2019 was the biggest year yet for Killer Queen. A massive sell out tour across America including sold out shows at Red Rocks and Austin City Limits , five star reviews along the way and a Concert of the Year award for their Huntingdon Paramount Theatre show.
To round things off they squeezed in a sold out 15 date tour of Hungary and Slovakia in November and performed for thousands on New Years Eve in Liepaja, Latvia.
After selling out Cardiff Motorpoint Arena and Liverpool M&S Bank Arena in early 2020, the band were about to begin an American tour when the news came through that venues were closing all over the world due to the new Coronavirus outbreak. The tour was postponed.
As most of the venues in America had already sold out the process of rescheduling has begun and hopefully the band will be back on the road as soon as it's safe for the public.
Looking band on the bands extraordinary career lead singer Patrick Myers says
“It's been amazing . We were kids when we did our first show. We thought our band would last maybe a summer at the most. But singing and performing these songs - it's a very addictive thing . The concerts grew and grew and we've ended up playing and selling out the same arenas that Queen played at their peak. It's been quite a surreal ride.
All being well we're back at Red Rocks in 2021. Our fourth time there. Becoming a regular performers Red Rocks Arena in America is a real honour. Selling the place out is even better! The Beatles, U2, Springsteen and Dylan have all played on that stage. It's really got it's own kind of magic going on there”
